The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation (MYGHF) is committed to help change the health outcomes of the most vulnerable patients with heart disease particularly children in underserved populations. MYGHF supports the Magdi Yacoub Aswan Heart Centre (AHC) in providing state-of-the-art, 100% free-of-charge comprehensive, advanced cardiac care to the less fortunate regardless of their color, religion, or gender. In Africa, more than 2 million children are born every year with congenital heart disease. Sadly, most of them die due to a lack of access to proper healthcare. In Egypt alone out of the 16 thousand surgeries needed every year for children with heart disease only 3 thousand are performed by all the hospitals combined, leaving thousands of children vulnerable.
