When I first came to Heart + Hand, my very first volunteer group was the United Women of Faith. I still remember sitting down with the amazing Margaret Waybright from St. Marks United Methodist Church—her warmth and kindness made a lasting impression on me. Today, eight years later, I had the privilege of welcoming them back. The space has changed—thanks to our move to a basement sorting area, we now have a beautiful Community Room where lives are touched and connections are made every day. But what hasn’t changed is the heart behind the work. Seeing familiar faces reminded me why we do what we do. Thank you, United Women of Faith, for being part of our story then and now.
