Viva! NM Rural Animal Rescue – Where all lives matter.

We are an all breed animal rescue based in Albuquerque, NM! We're making life better for homeless pets everyday! 🐶🐱❤ We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue specializing in rescuing homeless pets from the rural shelters of New Mexico. We do not take owner surrenders. Our mission is to help lower the euthanasia rates at rural shelters in New Mexico by educating the public, bringing low cost spay/neuter to rural communities, responsible rehoming, and transport to reputable rescues.

Viva New Mexico Rural Animal Rescue

Some of the current dogs at the Valencia County shelter. As always, the shelter is full. If your dog is missing please GO to the shelter and see if they are there. If you are looking to adopt, please consider visiting this shelter. The shelter address is 1209 Hwy 314 in Los Lunas, Nm. They are open 9-5pm Tuesday through Saturday. (fb)

We just wanted to drop a quick update- we reached the goal for the additional $250 matched donations!!! We still have $2500 in matched donations going, we are about $250 shy of reaching that goal (counting the $250 matched) so we are ALMOST there! Thank you all so, so much.
