PAWNC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded for the purpose of reducing euthanasia rates in North Carolina by providing municipal shelters with financial resources and rescue assistance. PAWNC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded for the purpose of reducing euthanasia rates of unwanted dogs & cats in North Carolina, primarily focusing on Nash County Animal Shelter. PAWNC was formed to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and provide spay/neuter assistance to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community. We offer free spay/neuter for any animal adopted from Nash County Animal Shelter. Due to the fact Nash Co Animal Shelter does not have a fund to assist injured or sick animals that are brought in, we provide emergency medical assistance for these animals.
