Theater Mu is proud to announce Fran de Leon as our new artistic director! She will co-lead Mu with continuing managing director Anh Thu T. Pham. Fran is a Los Angeles-based theater artist whose many experiences include producing at age 19; touring her one-person show, "Faces of America," to over 500 venues across 49 states; and being co-artistic director of the touring theater organization Will & Company, director of new talent for Playfair, an ensemble member of Critical Mass Performance Group, and an adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California's School for Dramatic Arts. She was also recently named a 2025/26 Drama League FutureNow directing fellow. Fran will be transitioning into her role throughout the next few months, with a full-time, in-person tenure by the end of 2025. The national search was led by Evolution Management Consultants.
