THIS THURSDAY! Join PAL on Thursday, May 29th, from 5–7 PM, for the unveiling of Creative Currents—a bold new public art installation that transforms sewer pipes along the River Birch Trail into an unexpected canvas of vibrant expression—sponsored by Spartanburg Water, the SC Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. The unveiling takes place at the River Birch Trail entrance behind The Moveable Feast (956 E Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29302). Limited parking is available at this entrance. From there, head down the hill and to the right before crossing the Lawson’s Fork Creek metal bridge to reach the exhibit site. Prefer to walk or bike? Start at the River Birch Trailhead behind the old Spartanburg High School tennis courts off Sydnor Rd (220 Sydnor Rd). From there, it’s a scenic one-mile walk across the 100-foot pedestrian bridge to the installation. ***If you choose to “Do the Dan” and join PAL at the Sydnor Rd. entrance to walk to the event, you will be entered to win a Do the Dan or Wildflower Way hat.
