Home - Native Health Initiative Loving Service Addressing Health Inequities throughLoving Service with Indigenous Youth and Communities Land Acknowledgement Native Health Initiative acknowledges the original peoples of the land on which we live work and serve the Tiwa people of Sandia and Isleta Pueblos. We also recognize New Mexicos 23 federally recognized Native Nations historic Indigenous communities in New Mexico Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement we affirm Indigenous sovereignty history and experiences. Our Focus Movement as Medicine Our Movement as Medicine focus area provides a loving and supportive community in which participants experience the physical cultural mental and spiritual aspects of running and walking.
