🌟 Senior Spotlight: Esther Ye 🌟 Since joining Laurens Academy in 2021, Esther Ye has brought warmth, depth, and unwavering faith to every part of campus life. Her favorite Bible verse, Mark 10:27, reflects the foundation of her trust in God: “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” One of the most powerful influences during Esther’s time at LA was Miss Roberts. “There was a time I was super stressed. One day, overwhelmed by tears, I told her I needed to pray—I longed to reignite the fire in my heart. She never saw me as strange or dismissed my feelings with empty reassurances. Instead, she became the one person I could confide in without fear. She shared her own experiences, and at times I felt an undeniable connection, as if we were alike in ways I never expected. Her words resonated deeply, encouraging me when I felt lost. In that season, she reminded me not to give up. Through her testimony, my life was transformed. I am deeply grateful that she has now stepped into her new calling. When I heard that she was dedicating herself to serving God, my heart was filled with gratitude and joy. Surprisingly, she told me that my struggles—what I once saw as burdens—had become a blessing to her.” Looking ahead, Esther will be attending Columbia International University in the fall as part of the Honors Program, majoring in Nursing. Her heart’s desire is to use the gifts God has given her to bless others—spiritually, physically, and mentally—so they may connect more deeply with God. “I want to follow God's calling for my life, because His plan is greater than my dreams and better than my own way. So rise up and shine for the glory of God. God is accelerating time. It is time for us to step into His destiny and to become vessels in His hands, used by Him and His word.” Esther, your faith, wisdom, and compassion radiate far beyond the classroom. 🌟 Senior Spotlight: Cadie Wilson 🌟 Though she’s only spent two years at Laurens Academy, Cadie Wilson has made a lasting impact with her thoughtful spirit, bright personality, and love for learning. Her favorite Bible verse, Luke 12:27, reflects the way she finds peace and beauty in the little things: "Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." When asked about someone who influenced her during her time at LA, Cadie immediately thinks of Mrs. Watts. “Her kindness, every single day, no matter what was going on or happening around her, inspires me. I always left her class with a smile on my face and in a good mood.” Looking ahead, Cadie will attend Appalachian State University in the fall, where she plans to major in anthropology. Cadie, your heart, insight, and gentle strength will take you far. We’re proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see the incredible path you’ll carve out in the world.
