The 2025 Land Stewardship Ambassadors wrapped up their journey on May 18! Forty-five students from Bexar, Cameron, Jim Hogg and Webb counties completed the Witte’s five-month program focused on Texas land and conservation—and earned a $400 stipend for their work. As part of the program, students presented on land stewardship topics. A few standout presentations were recognized with an extra $100: • Bexar – Saanvi Agrawal, Working Lands: The Last Frontier • Cameron – Emily Henao, Brownsville Water: A Shared Responsibility • Webb – Bianca Gayten, Nature’s Narratives This hands-on program brings the Witte’s mission to life by inspiring young Texans to become stewards of the land. 🌱 Applications for the 2026 program open Aug. 1 and are due Nov. 1.
