Teatro de la Luna’s purpose is to provide the Washington capital area with a source of high qualit Founded in 1991 and incorporated in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, Teatro de la Luna's mission is to promote Hispanic culture and foster cross-cultural understanding between the Spanish- and English-speaking communities in the national capital area through Spanish-language theater and bilingual theatrical activities. We forward our mission through Spanish language theatrical performances, playreadings and workshops, poetry marathons, International Festivals of Hispanic Theater, and through our Experience Theater educational program for public school students. All these activities provide opportunities for community dialogue, participation, reflection and support.
