Sweet Yukon is off to his new adventure in his forever home 🏠. (fb)

COURTESY LISTING!!! Please contact Jeneya for more information about Dozer!! villatorofam14@gmail.com Meet Dozer, a 1-year-old, loving, loyal pup with a big heart and a lot of personality. He’s a handsome mix of Border Collie and Catahoula Leopard Dog, and weighs about 50lbs. Dozer is looking for a special family who can continue his training and provide him with the structure and love he craves. What you should know about Dozer: * Playful & Smart: Dozer is a medium-energy dog who loves to run, play, and learn new things. He is eager to please and already knows a variety of commands, including sit, down, place (kennel), stay, off, wait, drop it, and leave it, and bedtime. He needs some training work on a leash and with public manners as he's been out on acreage. He’s an easy dog to train and loves to show off what he’s learned! He also shows BIG signs of herding instincts as he and our other stalk and herd each other ALL day long! * Affectionate & Loyal: Dozer is a true lovebug who will gladly snuggle up with you after a long day of playing. He’s a big dog, but he thinks he's a lap dog! He forms strong bonds with his people and wants to be around them as much as possible. He’s affectionate and will soak up all the attention you’re willing to give and he will gently try to steal any that you may be giving to another pet. * Socialization Needs: While Dozer loves his people, he can be reactive toward strangers. A home with an experienced dog owner who can respect his boundaries and continue his socialization would be ideal. He needs slow introductions and may take a few days to warm up to his new family as he hasn't experienced much outside the property, and we don't have guests often this far into the woods. * He would thrive best in a home where he is the only pet, though he currently gets along well with a Border Collie mix in his home. Dozer can be possessive of toys and bones/treats, so he may not be the best fit for a household with multiple pets. (Our other dog is extremely submissive so that's why it hasn't become an issue * No cats - Dozer does not seem to be cat friendly so a cat free home is recommended. * Potty & Crate Trained: Dozer is 100% potty trained and crate trained! He’s a smart and responsible dog who knows where to do his business and happily goes to his crate when it's time for a break or time for the family to leave the home. This makes him an easy addition to most homes. * Perfect for Active Families (with a Lazy Side!) Dozer is strong and active, so older kids or a home without children would be the best match. He can be a bit of a “bull in a china shop” at times and might unintentionally knock over smaller children when he’s excited. But don't let his playful energy fool you—once he's had his exercise, Dozer is the ultimate couch potato. He’s perfectly content to curl up on the couch and relax with you for hours, enjoying some chill time after his outdoor adventures. (fb)

At Herd U Needed A Home Rescue we are passionate about finding the best homes for our rescue dogs. We mainly work with herding type breeds border collie heeler Australian shepherd McNab but we often rescue other breeds in need. We are a fosterbased rescue meaning we do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are placed in loving homes while they wait for their forever family to come along.
