The Carbon Underground
The Carbon Underground’s mission is to accelerate the restoration of degraded soil around the world to help reverse climate change, increase food and water security, and improve the health of both people and planet. TCU was created in response to emerging data about the role soil plays in climate change, and how restoring soil health could help alleviate that threat while also mitigating major food and water issues. TCU was founded by partners with significant global experience in business, food, communications and environmental issues and we leverage our experience and relationships with business, government, scientists and farmers to create local and international programs designed to draw down atmospheric carbon rapidly and at scale.
