When disaster strikes, preparation saves lives — and Nebraska 4-H’er Alexa Brodd is helping youth get ready. After a tornado destroyed her family’s home, Alexa launched the “Tornado Safety and Preparedness Program for Kids” through the Nebraska 4-H Gives Back Program. Her project taught youth to build storm survival kits and stay safe during natural disasters.
