Delta Upsilon International Fraternity Inc. is a collegiate men's fraternity known for its non-secret heritage and commitment to developing its members into better men. Founded on November 4, 1834, at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, it is one of the oldest Greek letter organizations in North America, serving as a model for inclusivity and transparency in the fraternity system.

Delta Upsilon was established in response to concerns about the power and secrecy of existing fraternities on the Williams campus. Instead of following the norm of secret societies, Delta Upsilon aimed to create a welcoming environment for "all good men and true," focusing on friendship, character development, and the diffusion of liberal culture. The organization's early years involved affiliating with other like-minded groups to form the Anti-Secret Confederation (ASC), which later became the Delta Upsilon Fraternity in 1864.

The fraternity experienced significant growth throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, becoming an international organization with its first Canadian chapter at McGill University in 1898. It continued to expand despite economic challenges, such as the Great Depression, and currently has chapters across the United States and Canada.
