Our mission is to nurture creativity and community through the visual arts to all ages, skills and means. ASCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. ASCC’s mission is nurturing creativity and community through the visual arts, and our vision is "imagining art for everyone." The Art School of Columbia County connects our community to art. For children, ASCC teaches free word-and-image based Art in the Library programs in small town and rural libraries and schools throughout Columbia. ASCC's Art & Memories programs bring art to seniors in need. Classes, discussions and exhibits promote connections between regional artists and our community. ASCC’s programs are accessible to persons of all ages, abilities and means.

Our mission is guided by supporting artistic expression for youth teens and adults while serving people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Through our work in education and the visual arts we do not discriminate on any level with regard to peoples abilities to participate.
