What a special dog K9 Kiah was! I can remember the day Kirby Animal Shelter called me to come look at this dog they said was "BALL CRAZY"! My first impression of Kiah was "man that dog is BIG"! K9 Kiah was rather large for a female Pitbull at 90lbs, full of muscle, she was a gentle GIANT! I watched as Kiah relentlessly searched for this ball I threw into high grass and said to myself " this dog has what Im looking for". I agreed to accept Kiah into our Pitbull program where my daughter and I taught Kiah how to detect 5 narcotic odors and track people. K9 Kiah excelled at every task we taught her. Through our partnership with ANIMAL FARM FOUNDATION we placed K9 Kiah with the Poughpskie Police Department with @justinbruzgul as her handler. We couldnt have found a better fit for K9 Kiah then @justinbruzgul On a funny note , I will never forget the time @justinbruzgul came down for his 2 week handlers course and him and Kiah were just getting to know each other. Justin left his room to go eat dinner and when he returned Kiah had chewed her way out of her enclosure and completely trashed his hotel room to include peeing in his bed. Justin called me in some what of a panic and I’m sorry Justin but I fell down laughing! Kiah’s relentlessness was the quality that helped her excel at everything she did including escape, Lol! Needless to say Justin learned a very valuable lesson that day and forever kept K9 Kiah safe. K9 Kiah was one of the BEST dogs I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Dogs like her are 1 and a billion and Im grateful to have had the opportunity to have touched her life. Pit bulls are GREAT dogs that have gotten a bad rap from irresponsible owners. K9 Kiah was a start to showing the WORLD Pitbull's are great dogs too’ Justin if there is anything Cameron or I can do for you please let us know. We will do this again when the truth sets me FREE!
