Advancing the science of metabolism - Diabesity Institute t Nearly 60 of adults and a growing number of children in America are at risk for or suffering from type 2 diabetes prediabetes or obesity. t Research shows that up to 70 of type 2 diabetes and obesity cases are genetically based so millions of families are affected. i The Diabesity Institute is committed to the science of the metabolic system and the role of metabolic dysfunction in type 2 diabetes and obesity. Diabesity Institute Our mission is to increase access to effective sciencebased medical care for those suffering from or at risk for diabesity The Problem Approximately 60 of adults in America are at risk for or suffer from type 2 diabetes prediabetes or obesity which are related to many of the leading causes of preventable death.
