The catalyst for Shepherd's Heart Ministry's formation was the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Seeing the widespread impact, a Lutheran congregation was inspired to act. Pastor Ed Brashier, who has served as a pastor in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), played a pivotal role in the early stages of the ministry. He was deployed as a missionary to the Gulf Coast in 2006 to assist in disaster relief efforts.

Activities

Shepherd's Heart Ministry conducts volunteer training sessions led by experienced instructors.
