Read it LOUD! is encouraging children to be lifelong readers by fostering their innate curiosity & asking families to read at least 10 mins a day together Read it LOUDis a national literacy outreach campaign raising awareness about the proven benefits and profound positive impact that reading aloud has on children in their most formative years and their success in school. and life. Read it LOUD! Take at least 10 minutes of your day to read together Every child deserves a bright future. Challenge Across the United States just under half of all children five and under are read to each day. That means over 13 million children go to bed without a bedtime story missing out on vital vocabulary opportunities to imagine and bond with family members. Solution We believe the single most important thing a parent can do to help their child acquire language prepare their child for school life and to instill a love of learning in their child is to read to them.
