Below are tips from the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) on handling vaccine misinformation and supporting patients. Some of these tips were developed in response to COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy but are relevant to all vaccine types. 💉 Proactive Communication: The AMA encourages doctors to bring up vaccines with every patient (children and adults alike), offer a strong recommendation and be prepared to answer questions while approaching each discussion with empathy and without judgment.
