Hey everyone! We wanted to share an update about one of our incredible dogs, Gloria. This sweet girl came into our care as a stray from Hollister Animal Shelter. She took no time settling into life in her foster home and we all fell in love with her, including some potential adopters. Well, before adopting her, they requested to do a wellness vet visit and preventative scans and believe it not, they discovered a mystery mass, possibly in her spleen. We then took her to our vet for an ultrasound.and thank goodness, it’s not in the spleen but lower abdomen and could even be scar tissue, we just don’t know. In order for us to determine what exactly it is, she will need exploratory surgery. So, this Thursday, we’re funding her essential discovery surgery. This is a critical step to figure out exactly what we’re dealing with and how to move forward for her. On top of that, we even made sure she will get a much-needed special teeth cleaning – because a healthy smile is part of feeling good, right? This is what CPR is all about: using our resources to give dogs like Gloria the comprehensive care they need to thrive. And honestly, Gloria is just the absolute best. Her foster parent tells us she’s pure joy! She’s fantastic with everyone – people, kids, and even their sweet senior dog. She’s got such a great balance, knows when to play, and when to just chill out. She walks right into her crate to settle down for the night, doesn’t react to the neighbor dogs barking through the fence, and has zero food aggression. Basically, she’s a pure love bug wrapped in fur! Please send all your positive thoughts and good vibes Gloria’s way for her surgery tomorrow (Thursday)!
