for future generations Rowan Museum is a nonprofit organization founded to preserve the history of Rowan County from its earliest inhabitants to the present. Rowan Museum educates visitors on the lived experience of the people of Rowan County and the surrounding Piedmont through exhibitions educational programs research and historical reenactments using artifacts from its collection as well as historic sites that span from the colonial period through the industrial era.
