The mission of the organization is to educate the community in the art of handbell ringing and to present handbell music of the highest quality to audiences in the greater Tidewater area and beyond.The organization seeks to:A. Encourage creation, appreciation and perpetuation of handbell music through concerts and performances of music of various types and styles in schools, churches, museums, and other public venues.B. Assist others in organizing and developing handbell groups.C. Encourage and assist music educators to develop curricula that will incorporate and explore handbell music.D. Organize and participate in clinics, festivals and symposia relating to handbell music and performance.E. Join with other musicians to perform concerts using handbells in combination with other instruments.
