The Winnetka Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony is on Monday, May 26th. Parade: 10am / Ceremony: 10:30am at the Village Green, 525 Maple Street. The cenotaph was completed in 1928 to honor 10 local residents who died in World War I. The word "cenotaph" means tomb for a soldier buried in a foreign land. The Winnetka Historical Society's museum and headquarters has a fresh new coat of paint! Built as early as 1859, this local landmark is home to our artifact collection, exhibits and house files on the majority of residences in the village. We're open from 1-4 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
