Hope in a Suitcase is a new non-profit in Los Angeles and our singular goal is to help support children in foster care. To provide children and teens entering and impacted by foster care with clothes, shoes, blankets, other essentials, and comfort items to help ease their transition. At a higher level, the mission is to spread awareness of the challenges facing children in foster care. Current programming is concentrated in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Hope in a Suitcase Hope starts with you We Give Tangible Hope To Foster Children Hope in a Suitcase is a volunteerdriven nonprofit group benefiting Los Angeles foster children. Children who have experienced violence or neglect often enter the foster care system with nothing but the clothes on their backs or carrying a few personal belongings in a plastic trash bag. Our mission is simple. We provide children and teens in foster care with a suitcase along with NEW basic essentials and comfort items to make their transition and their circumstances just a little bit easier and more dignified.

The Amigos 2027 Blue group came together to hold a clothing collection for our upcominng October “shopping” event. Amigos, a son/mother service organization providing hands-on support to philanthropies in Southern California, greater Los Angeles and the South Bay, encourages young men to make a difference in their community, develop leadership skills while working with others and cultivating a lifelong spirit of volunteerism and dedication to helping others in need with the support of their parents and mentors. The items collected will provide comfort and joy to highest of needs LA foster youth.
