Invasive air potato vines have long smothered Florida’s landscapes, but new lab tests by UF Entomology & Nematology Department scientists may have found a potential greener tool. Two different beetles, one that eats the leaves and another that feeds on the vine’s tubers. Together, they’re proving more effective than either alone, offering a powerful new tool to help control this toxic, fast-spreading plant.
