
DOROBO FUND FOR TANZANIA INC
The Dorobo Fund is a 501(c)(3) registered NGO that supports and funds many grassroots efforts that promote social, ecological and economically sustainable growth in Tanzania. The primary objective of the DFTI will be to work at the community level to develop and carry out both conservation and education projects that will build capacity within the local villages of Tanzania, East Africa. The underlying principle is that local communities must first understand the implications of their role in the custodianship of the protected areas of Tanzania and secondly be taught the leadership skills to participated in the on-going discussions and decisions about land use.
