Buddy (225573) is a gentle and affectionate cat estimated at 3 years young, who loves to cuddle. He came to PVAS as an owner surrender nearly a week ago and has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Despite this, Buddy continues to eat well and remains energetic. However, his coat and overall condition show the impact of his illness, indicating he needs consistent medical care. Per recommendations, Buddy needs insulin and a treatment plan to be started as soon as possible, given that information Buddy has been placed on a week deadline pending health changes. 4/27/25 URGENT!! Colchester, Connecticut! Dusty needs a new home! Dusty is a doll! Dusty is about 8 years young in Colchester, Connecticut. Her person has passed away and her daughter is trying to find Dusty a new home. She almost found a new home but when she was taken for a vet visit the diabetes was discovered and the adoption was off. A euthanasia was scheduled for Dusty at the animal shelter for 4/28 but luckily the neighbor that has been taking care of her since the mom passed has graciously offered to inject her insulin shots / continue to care for her until a permanent home is found. So the daughter was able to get her back from the shelter today. The neighbor is going to care for Dusty in the mom’s home. Dusty was very sweet with her mom but would not come around anyone else. So she will need much TLC and patience in a new home. She has warmed up to the neighbor since her mom passed away. The daughter thinks she would be good with other cats but most likely not dogs.
