15th ANNUAL MANTRATHON for World Peace and 🌏Healing during Saga Dawa Month🙏: Teachings on Mantra, Rigdzin Dupa Dechen Namrol Sadhana, and Mantra Accumulation plus ⛩ Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony, Nyungne Fasting Ritual, Buddha Puja, and Life Release🐠 MAY 28 - JUNE 11, 2025 (All events in-person and online🖥) Dear Sangha and Friends, Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche and Odiyana Institute wish you all an auspicious Saga Dawa, which begins on May 28and ends on June 25, 2024! 🌈During this holy month, the most important events in the life of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni -- His birth, Enlightenment and Parinirvana 🙏-- are all celebrated. It is also a time when the power of our virtue is multiplied many thousands of times over. For this reason, group spiritual practice is emphasized. This Saga Dawa, we are pleased to announce our 15th Annual Mantra-Thon for World Peace 🌎 and Healing! In the past several years, we have been witnessing great suffering throughout the world caused by political divisions and tensions, poverty, natural disasters, and the violence of warfare. As Rinpoche has told us many times, the primary method that we Buddhists have at our disposal to help those in such miserable states of suffering is Dharma practice. As Guru Padmasambhava, or Guru Rinpoche, 🙏is the embodiment of all the Buddhas and spiritual masters of the Three Times, and is the very reflection of our own primordially perfected state, by supplicating Guru Rinpoche, and by unifying our mindstream with his through Guru Yoga and sadhana practice, and by accumulating his mantra, we receive the blessings needed to reveal our own innate Buddhahood, and thus gain the capacity to uproot samsara. As Padmasambhava himself said, "for those with faith and devotion in me, I am there in front of them." Therefore, this year's Mantrathon will focus on the accumulation of the Vajra Guru Mantra, with the collective goal of 1 Million recitations: OM AH HUNG BENZA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG🙏 When the late HH Dudjom Rinpoche III 🙏(Yangsi Sangye Pema Zhepa) visited the USA in 2019, he visited Santa Barbara at Tulku Orgyen's request and generously bestowed the empowerment for the special and rare Rigdzin Dupa (Assembly of Vidyadharas) sadhana from the Dudjom Tersar, known as Dechen Namrol (Display of Great of Exaltation). In the time of Dudjom Lingpa, this unique Guru Rinpoche practice was the main Guru practice of the Three Roots in the Dudjom lineage, but in recent decades has been upheld almost solely by the tantrika sangha in Pemakod, first under the leadership of Togden Kunzang Longdrol,🙏 and then by Togden's current incarnation, Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche, and his father Lama Rigdzin Phuntsok. Now, we in Tulku la's sangha have the precious opportunity to do so as well, since Tulku la translated the sadhana about 10 years ago. We have not had the opportunity to practice the full sadhana together for several years, so this will be an especially blessed Mantrathon.
