Financial Challenges
Despite its success in hosting events and attracting visitors, Friends of the U.S. Pavilion Milano 2015 Inc. faced significant financial challenges. The organization struggled to cover costs, leading to unpaid debts to designers, contractors, and other service providers, totaling approximately $26 million[4][5]. This financial situation resulted in criticism of how the U.S. government and its appointed nonprofit managed the pavilion's finances.

The USA Pavilion, symbolizing openness and innovation, was a highlight of Expo Milano 2015, promoting American leadership in food security and culture. However, its financial management issues have left a lasting impact, affecting future U.S. participation in similar international events. The pavilion itself has been relocated and repurposed elsewhere.
