Offering a food bank and financial assistance to Jackson County residents in crisis. UCM is a nonprofit crisis ministry providing food and financial assistance to residents of Jackson County, NC. Our staff: Executive Director Ann Selby and Andi Green Assistant Director. Our mission is to serve Christ by being a voice for and a help to people with urgent needs. We provide a client-choice food pantry and limited financial assistance for Jackson County, NC residents. Our goal is to help individuals in need to move toward relative independence; to serve as a referral source to other agencies and avoid duplication of services; and to enhance community understanding and awareness of the needs of those in poverty.
