Grand Gateway Community Development Foundation, Inc. (GGCDFI) provides assistance in meeting the fundamental needs and improving the quality of life for all citizens in northeast Oklahoma. GGCDFI provides assistance through the Grand Gateway Economic Development Association, Inc. (GGEDA) programs created to serve citizens in Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa, Rogers, and Washington counties in northeastern Oklahoma. GGEDA has multiple outreach programs such as Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Senior Case Management, Grant Assistance, Pelivan Transit, Regional Economic Promotion, and Rural Fire Defense. Programs offered through AAA include Family Caregiving, Disease Prevention & Health Promotion, Legal Services for Seniors, Masonic Charity for Seniors, Senior Nutrition/Senior Centers Support, Ombudsman Program/Nursing Homes, Community Enhancement Nutrition Assistance, Outreach to Seniors, Senior Employment, In-Home Services for the Frail, and Medicare D Enrollments. Grand Gateway's Grant Management Programs offer assistance in Economic Development Grants, Community Development Block Grants, Economic Development Infrastructure Financing, and Hazard Mitigation/Assist EPA Clean-up projects. The Grand Gateway Regional Planning includes Rural Transportation Planning Organization, Disaster Planning, E911 Assistance/Coordination, and Historic Preservation and Development. Pelivan Transit is owned and operated by Grand Gateway and serves the seven county region in northeastern Oklahoma. Pelivan offers demand response services to six counties through a network of a centralized Call Center in Big Cabin to five outlying dispatch centers in the region. Rural public and tribal transit services are provided with a current fleet of 67 transit vehicles. A deviated fixed route is also being provided in Bartlesville known as the Circuit route. This low-cost route meets the needs of low-income families as well as elderly and disabled riders. Pelivan has a Flexible Fuel Vehicle Maintenance facility and is active as an on-site training location for automotive technicians. GGCDFI is seeking funds to create two full-time employee positions for continual grant writing and fund raising for Grand Gateway programs and area communities' needs. These funds will also provide subsidy for the programs facing federal and state funding deficits in funding sources. GGCDFI will also provide funding for area communities' projects such as hot nutritious lunch meals for Seniors at area Senior Centers and home deliveries of meals. Two examples of successful community projects includes a historic preservation of the Coleman Theatre in Miami, and the Claremore Transmodal Rail Facility. Emergency funds through the AAA/Masonic Charity helps individuals with utility bills, eyeglasses, wheelchair ramps, dental and medical bills as examples.
