The mission of the WHS AFJROTC is to “Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community." Air Force JROTC provides leadership training and an aerospace science program and other STEM programs for high school students. Secondary school students who enroll in the AFJROTC program are offered a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities. Those students who participate in AFJROTC do not incur any obligation to the Air Force. As their booster organization, we support the program with dinner on nights they work for the community and the school, equipment for their competitions, and money for entrance and travel expenses for conferences, educational field trips, and drill competitions. We also give scholarships to deserving senior cadets every year.
