Amplifying Efforts to Address the Climate Crisis and Regenerate the World’s Ecosystems. 2050KIDS' VISION IS TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PEOPLE WHO WILL INHERIT AND INHABIT THE WORLD IN 2050, TO INITIATE ACTIONS TO CREATE FUTURE FREE FROM THE DISPROPORTIONATE IMPACTS OF A CHANGING CLIMATE ON VULNERABLE POPULATIONS AND TO WORK ALONGSIDE COMMUNITIES TO BUILD DISCOVERY-LEARNING PROGRAMS THAT MITIGATE LOCAL CLIMATE IMPACTS. 2050KIDS' PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO UNCOVER AND UNLEASH THE INHERENT SKILLS AND IMAGINATION NEEDED TO STRENGTHEN AFFECTED POPULATIONS IN CREATING SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS. IT FOCUSES ON THOSE WHO HAVE TRADITIONALLY BEEN OVERLOOKED DUE TO LACK OF FORMALIZED EDUCATION, DISABILITY OR POVERTY AND DISENFRANCHISEMENT DUE TO CULTURE OR GEOGRAPHY.
