Believe 271 Our Mission To provide financial assistance to volunteer firefighters EMTs and members of ladies auxiliaries in Oneida and Herkimer Counties who suffer from a lifethreatening illness such as cancer. The Believe 271 Foundation Inc. was founded in March of 2014 to provide support to our local heroes. With the financial support comes emotional support letting our heroes know that No One Fights Alone.

Following tonight’s parade in Deerfield, Chief Griffiths and Past Chief Powers presented Board Members Dan Schwertfeger and Brian McQueen with a $5,000 check for the Foundation. Presentations such as this would never be possible with the untiring efforts of the DFD who have presented us a check for the past 11 years. Also, thanks to ALL OF YOU who supported this Fish Fry this past April.

This year we have announced the recipient of our Believe 271/Robert LeBuis Memorial Golf Tournament’s Golf Balls from Heaven event. This year’s recipient is the Chief Nicholas Morosco Fund. This fund was formed by Nick’s family following his sudden passing at the age of 38 from a sudden cardiac death.
