The San Antonio Veterans Institute (SAVI) is a a one-stop resource to assist as many veterans as possible to lead productive and healthy lives. To provide a safe, tranquil sanctuary which will provide services to help support disenfranchised and under-served veterans to reconnect and become productive citizens of their communities by closing the gap between the lack of mental health services, transportation, denial of healthcare (due to classification of discharge) or slow results from traditional healthcare approaches. Our vision is to provide a tranquil sanctuary for veterans who are suffering from various mental health issues, as well as their families and their caregivers by offering complimentary services which will promote healing and provide skills which would ideally lead to a more productive contribution to their community through potential future employment within the Organization and/or to create a more peaceful and harmonious life for the veteran and their families. We will accomplish this by providing a safe, tranquil environment for the education and training in order to promote self-care techniques and practices for use during and after their involvement in the program.
