This morning, we had the joy of hosting our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast; a small gesture to honor the BIG impact our volunteers make each and every day. From making copies to supporting school events and activities, your time and heart make all the difference. A special congratulations to our Volunteer of the Year, Holly Cannon! For the second year in a row, our MYP Spanish Department hosted a powerful cultural exchange with La Salle School in Ecuador. A group of 24 UDS students showcased their Spanish language skills and IB learner attributes through a special two-part videoconference. The first session was held in English to support our Ecuadorian friends in their language journey, and the second session was conducted entirely in Spanish to highlight our students’ growth in acquiring a second language. We were so proud to see our 6th and 8th graders confidently share stories, make new friends across borders, and embrace the joy of global learning.
