Troy Animal Rescue Project

The Troy Animal Rescue Project is a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization dedicated to serving pets from Alabama and surrounding southern states. Established in March 2014, it has been instrumental in placing thousands of pets in loving, responsible homes.

Mission

The organization focuses on rescuing pets that are homeless, have been given up by their owners, are in abuse or neglect situations, and those at risk of euthanasia. It provides assistance without regard to breed, age, or health issue, ensuring that all animals receive the necessary care and support.

Services Provided

Troy Animal Rescue Project offers a range of services including spaying/neutering, vaccination, and heartworm prevention. It provides rescue for various animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, rats, mice, hamsters, birds, and reptiles. Animals in their care are placed into foster homes or at their rescue center while awaiting permanent homes.

Adoption Process

The adoption process involves a comprehensive assessment to ensure pets are placed in suitable homes. Prospective adopters must undergo a home inspection, provide veterinary references, and complete an adoption application. A nominal adoption fee is required.

Operational Funding

The organization relies entirely on private donations as it does not receive funding from local, state, or federal governments. All donations are tax-deductible.
