More News WPHS Holiday Gift Items November 30 2024 in Uncategorized 2023 West Pittston History Day February 6 2023 in Uncategorized More News The History of the West Pittston Historical Society The West Pittston Historical Society was formed in the summer of 2001 when a group of borough residents gathered for the purpose of creating an organization to raise awareness of the historical assets of West Pittston and to preserve them for future generations. The society hosts several program meetings each year focusing on the history of the borough and Northeast Pennsylvania. The historic Jenkins Harding Cemetery in the center of the borough was maintained through assistance from the West Pittston Historical Society for approximately twenty years.
