Ending modern slavery and human trafficking in our lifetime. Most people believe slavery ended with the civil war. Not true. 40.3 million people are enslaved today, more than at any time in human history. These are real slaves by the harshest definitions, people who are forced to work under threat of violence, without pay, and unable to escape. More than half of them are women and children. These people are trapped in brothels, factories, mines, farm fields, and restaurants. That's the bad news. The good news is there's a solution, and we're a part of it.
