Salem Children's Home
Salem4Youth is a faith based therapeutic residential setting for young men who need encouragement a Salem4youth Ranch is located on 50 acres in rural Flanagan, IL. Flanagan is approximately 2 hours south of Chicago. Salem Children's Home, now Salem4youth Ranch, was founded in 1896 as an orphanage for both girls and boys. Over the years the ministry has evolved to where we serve only boys ages 12 years to 17 years old. Salem is a faith-based ministry and we receive no state or federal monies to operate. The average number of students we serve at any one time is between 12-14. Salem is a residential program with an on-campus school. The average length of stay for one of our students is between 9-12 months. Our mission is to help facilitate familial reconciliation and restoration through exposure to the gospel and the hope that Christ provides.
