The Whitman speech and debate team is hosting an all-star POLITICAL PANEL this Wednesday, January 16 from 7 to 8:45 pm in the Whitman auditorium! Join us for a night of discussion on issues ranging from the government shutdown to US foreign policy to Democrats’ strategy in the House. Whitman had an awesome showing at Bronx this weekend! In Lincoln Douglas, senior Daniel Harris went undefeated in prelims, advanced to double-octafinals, and received 10th speaker. Sophomore Ben Waldman advanced to semifinals, earning his second bid and a qualification to the Tournament of Champions (to become our first person to qual this year)! In Public Forum, juniors Ted Rock and Ethan Singer advanced to runoffs, juniors Zara Ali and Madeleine Wenger advanced to double-octafinals--earning a silver bid to the Tournament of Champions--and seniors Danielle Hazan and Katherine Sylvester advanced to quarterfinals, earning a gold bid!
