We wish the animals who come to us could talk and tell us their stories. Caledonia would undoubtedly have a story to tell. For reasons we'll never know, she has a docked tail. We like to hope it is the result of an accident but we see a lot of things so anything is possible. Regardless of the cause, the result is that she is mildly incontinent. She uses the litter box, but sometimes leaks urine, which of course means that living in a typical home environment is problematic. She has no outdoor skills and isn't particularly fond of other cats so isn't an ideal candidate for a barn placement. We are hoping beyond hope for a hero! Her ideal home would be with someone who has a spare room, or a temperature controlled mud room with tile floors where she could look out the window and enjoy time with humans. She is an affectionate lap cat who loves cuddles and brushing. Right now she's living in one of our cat condos and enjoys looking out the window but she deserves so much more. We have something to celebrate…we had our first on-site surgery day full of spays and neuters!!! This has been a dream of ours for longer than we can remember. For the last decade, we have spent hours upon hours, miles upon miles, and gas tank upon gas tank driving our animals to and from vet visits for any type of care they could need. Now, we can officially provide pretty much all care on site! Not only does that make it more efficient for us, it’s better for our animals! Quicker vet care=animals becoming available faster=saving more lives! We feel so grateful and its just another reason added for why we love our building❤️ (fb)
