ConnectVirginia The ConnectVirginia services below comprise Virginias Health Information Exchange HIE and enable the ability to securely share patient information electronically with participating providers. The common goal of the HIE is to support the care received by patients in the Commonwealth by ensuring that providers have access to timely and comprehensive patient information. Emergency Department Care Coordination EDCC Program Virginia Department of Health VDH contracts with Virginia Health Information to operate maintain and administer the EDCC Program with the goal to improve the quality of patient care services. Public Health Reporting Pathway ConnectVirginia a program of Virginia Health Information provides the transport mechanisms for electronic public health reportable data to the Virginia Department of Health.
