Friends Fighting Cancer Harnett CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DONATION TO FRIENDS FIGHTING CANCER Who Are We. In the early 2000s a group of concerned local citizens formed an organization called Friends of the Cancer Center to support cancer research cancer patients and patients friends and families. The groups work benefited area residents and as the needs of the community grew the need for additional resources and support did as well. Friends Fighting Cancer has been established to continue this important work with the same spirit of services as the forerunner organization.
