Operating as a studio and gallery, Project Onward provides access to workspace, art materials, and professional opportunities to artists who have exceptional abilities but face challenges ranging from autism to mental illness. Project Onward believes that artists with special needs deserve a voice in the world of art and ideas, and that their extraordinary work has a universal audience.

This Friday at the 4th Floor Gallery at the Bridgeport Art Center from 7-10PM, make sure you catch The Mystical, The Magical & The Macabre art show opening at the same time and the same floor as our Poor Man's Paradise closing ceremony. This show will features multimedia artworks conjuring a sense of mystery, awe and fascination with the darkness. Curated by Marci Rubin, this show showcases artwork that delves into what is lurking and lost in the shadows of the human experience, as artists investigate the dark through their chosen media by finding aesthetic beauty in the shadowy depth of our complex existence.
