History
The organization was established in 1932 as the Clay County Historical Society. In 2009, it merged with the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, adopting its current name. This merger expanded its role in preserving and interpreting local history and culture.
Mission

Additionally, the center includes the Moorhead Hopperstad Stave Church replica and hosts rotating art and history exhibitions.
