What a night! We love these images from Scott Elmquist of the 2024 Capable Campaign Celebration and Preview. We had a great evening celebrating the power of inclusion! Many thanks to all of our volunteers for helping us pull off such a special event. Our Models felt celebrated, supported, and seen! The 2024 Exhibit is now open to the public at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. You can check it now now through the end of the year! (fb)

Our 16th and FINAL model is James Hughes Barefoot. His portrait is captured by Scott Elmquist. “I am an artist, an animator, and a Virginia adventurer!” Learn more about James now on our website: www.thenextmoveprogram.org/capable. He was nominated by our friends at Jacob’s Chance. About Capable: Capable 2024 is back! Since 2017, we have shared the portraits and stories of 131 models from the disability community, have had 18 contributing professional photographers donate their talents, and have had THOUSANDS of folks visit our annual exhibit at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. We take on Capable each year to address the major underrepresentation of the disability community. This campaign shares their hopes, dreams, challenges, and talents in their words. The 2024 Museum Exhibit for Capable will open on June 29th to the public at The Virginia Museum of History & Culture. You can continue to donate to this campaign on our website and invest in inclusion. (fb)
