Dear Mom and Dad, Williamsburg is great. It’s like we are actually living in Colonial times! Before we got to Williamsburg, we toured the Yorktown Museum and learned about pivotal events of the American Revolution. We also learned about how Revolutionary War soldiers prepared their food, the roles of women in the war, and life on a middle-class farm during that time. We kicked off our time in Williamsburg exploring the Governor’s Palace, where we were introduced to aristocratic life, including formal dinner and dancing traditions, as well as proper greeting etiquette.
