Earlier this week, we had the honor of hosting Hon. Penina Malonza, OGW, former Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of East African Community, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, and Regional Development, at our Mshomoroni Solar Water Farm. Her visit was a powerful reflection of what’s possible when innovation is guided by community need. After attending a church service at PCEA Mshomoroni, Hon. Malonza toured the facility and shared her admiration for our work, calling the clean water solution “fascinating.” She praised the solar-powered desalination system and recognized it as a strong model for community-led progress. The Mshomoroni Solar Water Farm has been operational since 2023 provides the surround population of 35,000 people with access to safe, clean drinking water each day. Her visit was more than a moment of recognition. It reaffirmed the importance of public-private collaboration in addressing urgent environmental and humanitarian challenges. As our former Site Selection Manager, Faisal didn’t just help identify where our work was most needed. He brought people together to make it happen. Now, in his role as Director of Fundraising and Government Engagement, he’s building new bridges. By connecting donors, businesses and government agencies, Faisal is turning shared conversations into impact.
